States Stories: Brandon Devonshire

After losing two big seniors and inspirational figures, many teams would look to rebuild, but that wouldn’t be the case for Northeast Bradford and Brandon Devonshire. Although his season started out slow, Devonshire was not easily let down, since it has happened before. He slowly progressed and gained confidence by, “winning some dual meets and placing well at tough invites”.

Devonshire and his team did: “as expected” in the district meet as they got the job done and made it to states once again as a team. Helped by other teammates and individuals Brandon was ready for the state meet once again. His goal going in was top 10, but he just fell short in a 16th place finish, medaling none the less.

Devonshire is already excited for track, where he hopes to: “come back in the spring as a double medalist in track”. Northeast Bradford doesn’t run indoors, but don’t sleep on Brandon or his teammates as they plan to train through winter to be prepared for the spring season.
